Privacy

The short version

Whatever you submit to Vuryfy for verification — text, links, QR codes, images, audio, or video — belongs to you. We only process it to deliver the check you asked for, and we collect and keep only what's needed to do that.

Private by default

Everything you submit and every result you receive is private to your account by default. A result is only ever visible to someone else if you take an explicit action to share it — and sharing a result shares the verdict, summary, evidence, and sources, not the original content you submitted.

How long we keep your content

Submitted media is kept only as long as it takes to process your request, plus a short window in case you need to revisit the result. QR codes are decoded on your own device and are never uploaded at all. Extracted evidence and the verdict itself are kept as your verification history so you can look back on it.

AI-assisted analysis

To evaluate what you submit, Vuryfy sends it to Google's Gemini API for analysis and, for text and link checks, to Tavily's search API to gather supporting evidence. These providers process your content only to return a result to Vuryfy — they are not third-party services you interact with directly, and we don't use them to build any kind of profile about you.

Automated safety checks

Every image, audio clip, and video you submit is run through an automated check before it's analyzed. Anything that matches known illegal content — such as child sexual abuse material — is blocked from processing, is never viewed by anyone at Vuryfy, and is set aside so we can act on it, including reporting it to the appropriate authorities.

In the interest of being upfront: this check is fully built into our processing pipeline, but as of this writing it is not yet connected to an external database of known illegal content, so it has nothing to match against today. We are working on connecting it to an industry-standard provider, and will update this page once that's live.
